Personal Story About an Indoor Reception

My fiancé and I wanted to get married over the summer, but could not decide where we were going to get married and have the reception. We both grew up in different churches, and really wanted to have the reception at our own childhood church. However, when we brought the two families together, I could see clearly that his mother was dead set on having the wedding at their church.

Ultimately, I already had an idea of where I wanted to have the reception as well and my fiancé's family had no idea. Thus, I ended up choosing the location for the wedding reception and my fiancé chose the place for the wedding.

Since I was small, I wanted to have my wedding reception at my country club. The event hall has a wonderful overlook to the golf course, which I thought was ideal. We have a terrace where guests can get fresh air, and there are plenty o spacious bathrooms, where I could change from my wedding gown into my reception gown. There was truly no better place for my wedding reception than at this event hall at the country club.

A few months before the wedding, as soon as I knew for sure that we could use the country club, I hired a wedding designer who could visit the space with me for ideas. The rates for the designer were very reasonable. What she ended up doing was helping me decide where the food tables and flower arrangements were going to go, in addition to other things, such as the wedding theme.

She then went off on her own with photos of the space and spent time crafting a beautiful proposal for me. She then bought everything we needed for the design and got to work. I felt so relieved to know that it was one less thing that I would have to take care of during my wedding - that's for sure!

Before the day of the wedding, my wedding designer and I took a final walk through of the space. She then went back on the morning of the wedding while we were at the church to set everything up. I hadn't see the actually arrangements until I walked in after the wedding and I was absolutely amazed by how beautiful she had made everything - and it was with so little effort on my part too!

I recommend for everyone to use a wedding designer - whether they are having an indoor wedding or not. I feel that particularly since the space was a standard rental hall, I truly needed a designer to help make the space unique for me. There truly was no better way.
