How to Plan a Wedding No One Will Forget

When putting your wedding together, you have dedicated endless resources, time and energy into developing an event that celebrates the love and commitment that you share with your future spouse. Of course, your wedding will be a day that you will remember for the rest of your life. Ideally, you would like for all of your guests to feel the same about the event that you throw.

While not all weddings are remembered as highlights to one's relationships, you can easily make your wedding have a lasting impact on the people who attend by the way you show your gratitude for having them there.

Throughout the process of planning and executing your wedding, it is important that you make every effort to make the experience fun and special for your guests. Beginning with the invitation, personalize and make the event fun. Spend time crafting a witty or tradition invitation and hand address the envelopes. It is also a nice, personal touch to call your invitees after you send the invitation to make sure that it has arrived. Make sure they know how important it is to you that they attend.

Next, make accommodations for them if they are coming in from out of town. They are coming to town primarily for your wedding, but chances are also good that there will be a significant amount of people at your wedding who are going to appreciate any time you spend making them feel more comfortable while they are in town. Put together some local brochures and information packets for them. The gesture will let them know that you expect them to have a good time while they are here and that it is important to you that they have fun during the entire experience.

Next, during the wedding ceremony, make eye contact and personally greet each and every one of your guests as if they are the only guest and they are the most important. The personalized time you spend with them will help them to feel honored that you spent time on your important day thinking of their needs.

Finally, once the ceremony is over, be sure to promptly send thank you notes and cards to your attendees and gift givers. It is also nice to follow up with a phone call to those people that you shared a special conversation or evening with.

Making people feel honored and appreciated is a sure fire and direct way to create a wedding that no one will forget.
